Congratulations to the winner of the 2013 Brooks Signs Business Makeover Contest!
We are excited to congratulate Sherwood Restaurant and Catering.
The long standing restaurant is located at 799 Colborne Street in Brantford. Sherwood Restaurant and Catering has been in business for 52 years and holds the distinction as Brantford’s largest caterer.
In his entry, Owner, Dennis Duce highlighted some of the restaurant’s struggles including the aging population, loss of transient business from the Highway 403 extension, and increasing competition from franchised restaurants. The restaurant is currently remodeling the dining room to upgrade the weekend buffet experience, “so as we try to keep the business running for another 50 years, now would be a good time for us to do a new marketing program” Dennis wrote.
The judging panel also recognized Sherwood Restaurant’s dedication to the community and his support at countless special events across Brant County.
Sherwood Restaurant will receive a prize package of marketing and advertising services valued at over $20,000. Sherwood Restaurant wins $5,000 towards a new sign from Brooks Signs plus a new logo and print designed by Octopus Red, print advertising by Brant News, radio advertising on Jewel 92 and a promotional video produced by Digital Duck Inc.
